Remote

Select the multi-channel remote if there will be more than one motorized shade in the room. These remotes are easily programmable.

Motorization

If you are unsure about the motorization you need, select the “Unsure” option. We will contact you and adjust your bill accordingly before completing the order.
The control chain is removed from motorized shades. Make sure to select a remote, too.

Roll Direction

Most windows use the standard roll direction because it allows less light to seep in around the sides of the window. The reverse roll direction (waterfall) creates a gap between the shade and the window. If you’re adding window treatments to doors with handles or windows with cranks that might get caught, select the reverse option.

Side Channel

Side channels are added to your window to completely close off all light. Include them if this roller shade is for a bedroom.

Size

For an optimal fit, measurement must be exact. We are not responsible for faulty measurements.
Make sure to describe your window and add any helpful comments to your order to ensure you get the right custom window treatment.

Fractions are allowed in decimal points. For example, 50 1/2 would be 50.50.
For your reference: 1/4″ is 0.25; 1/2″ is 0.50; 3/4″ is 0.75; 7/8″ is 0.875

Notes:
To accommodate the brackets on a roller shade, the fabric is one inch narrower than the size requested.
Shades over 110 inches in height may come with an industry-standard discreet seam.

Drapes & Curtains

Available in two styles:

  • Pinch Pleat – a traditional, structured look with sewn-in pleats hanging from rods or hooks.
  • Ripple Fold – a modern, S-shaped wave using snaps on a track.

Plantation Shutters

Available in four materials:

  • Sustainable Hardwood – Crafted from solid natural woods like basswood, cedar, or oak sourced from responsibly managed forests.
  • Wood Composite – Hybrid products that combine wood fibers with synthetic binders to mimic the look of real wood.
  • EcoSmart Wood – Engineered wood designed for high performance and sustainability.
  • MDF – Most budget-friendly material, made from compressed wood fibers, wax, and resin that provides a smooth, uniform finish without knots or grain.

Horizontal Blinds

Available in four materials:

  • Tropics Basswood – high-end option made from 100% genuine North American hardwood.
  • Faux Wood – engineered from synthetic materials, typically a combination of PVC, vinyl, or plastic polymers.
  • Eco Wood -Eco Wood (often referred to as EcoSmart or sustainable wood) is generally a hybrid or recycled composite designed to be more environmentally friendly than standard PVC.

Vertical Blinds

Available in two styles:

The main difference between these two vertical blind styles is their visual texture and light-blocking capability.

Curve (Textured) vanes use an “S” or “C” shape with a decorative surface to mimic the look of drapery, while Stimulus (Non-textured) vanes are flat and smooth for a clean, minimalist appearance.

  • Curve (Textured) –  softer, more decorative window treatment that behaves like a blind but looks like a curtain.
  • Stimulus (Non-textured) – traditional, utility-focused option designed for modern or professional spaces.

Bamboo Shades

The bamboo material used in window shades is a natural, fast-growing grass fiber prized for its sustainability, strength, and organic texture. Unlike solid wood blinds, these shades are handcrafted by weaving various parts of the bamboo plant into flexible panels.

Honeycomb Shades

Available in three styles:

The main difference between these options lies in their internal structure, insulation performance, and aesthetic consistency. While they all appear similar from the front, honeycomb (cellular) shades are multi-layered for energy efficiency, whereas pleated shades are a single layer of fabric.

  • Cellular – two or more layers of fabric joined to create distinct hexagonal air pockets (cells).
  • Pleated – single layer of fabric folded into crisp, accordion-like pleats.
  • Perfect Pitch (Pleated Cellular) – combine the energy-efficient cellular design with the sharp, architectural look of a large pleated shade.

Roman Shades

Available in four styles:

The main difference between these Roman shade styles is how the fabric behaves when the shade is fully lowered. Classic and Front Flat folds provide a structured, tailored look with horizontal lines, while Hobbled folds create voluminous, cascading loops, and Relaxed folds feature a soft, unconstructed “smile” at the bottom.

  • Classic Fold – also called Plain Fold, is a versatile, tailored style suitable for both formal and casual settings.
  • Front Flat Fold – the most minimalist and modern option, designed to prioritize the fabric’s appearance.
  • Hobbled Fold – also called Soft Fold, this style is prized for its depth and traditional elegance.
  • Relaxed Fold – also called European Fold, this style is a charming, “unconstructed” aesthetic often associated with coastal or rustic decor.
